Most respectfully I would like to state that on the 4th instant early in the morning I fell ill. I felt colic pain. There was no person in the house to convey my application to you. I remained in bed for six or seven days. I was unconscious for three days. On the 8th day, fever abated and left me on the sixth day. My mother was much worried, she could not submit an application to you for leave.

So I was fined for absence. In the circumstances stated above, I request you kindly to remit the fine. I shall be grateful to you for this favour.
